About The Author

Dr. Darlene Townsend

Dr. Darlene Townsend is a native New Yorker who truly reverences the awesomeness of the Almighty God. She was an active member for many years at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York where Emeritus Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake was her pastor. Dr. Townsend served faithfully in various capacities including choirs, women’s ministry, youth ministry, mentor, auxiliaries, and leadership.

She received her secular education from Howard University and Miami University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees, respectively. Her theological studies resulted in a bachelor’s degree from Vision International University, a Master's and Doctorate of Ministry in Theology from Life Christian University.

Throughout her years of advanced learning, Dr. Townsend walked in the Word and “studied to show herself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). As such, she was the recipient of numerous honors and awards for her outstanding achievement in biblical studies.
